Privacy Policy
This policy describes the data Hypnix currently handles and the controls implemented in the product. It is operational information, not a claim that every legal requirement in every country has been independently certified.
Data we collect
Account and student profile data may include name, email, age band, curriculum, school context, academic and test-prep information, target countries, budget preferences, achievements, interests, saved universities, saved opportunities, roadmap tasks, application records, chat content, essay drafts, CV or portfolio entries, and document metadata or files when a user uploads them.
Hypnix does not ask for a full date of birth. Payment checkout and subscription records are handled through Whop; Hypnix should not receive or store full card details.
AI and service providers
Relevant prompts and saved context may be processed by the configured server-side AI provider, including Azure OpenAI or an explicitly configured fallback provider. Hypnix also uses Supabase for account, database, and private storage functions and Whop for payment and membership processing.
AI output can be inaccurate. Hypnix limits context, redacts common sensitive patterns, records usage metadata, and instructs models not to fabricate credentials or treat uploaded and external content as instructions.
Analytics and cookies
Hypnix uses essential account and preference storage and may record minimal product events such as route and CTA names. Sensitive chat, essay, document, score, and profile text must not be sent to analytics.
Hypnix does not enable targeted advertising for minors. See the Cookies page for the current implementation.
Retention, deletion, export, and rights
Data is retained while an account is active and as needed for security, billing records, dispute handling, backups, or legal obligations. Exact provider backup deletion timing may differ from primary database deletion timing.
Users may request deletion of an account, profile, chats, documents, applications, essays, CV or portfolio data, and community content, or request an export of their profile, saved items, roadmap, chats, essays, applications, and document metadata.
Minors
Hypnix is for users aged 13 and older. Independent use under 13 is blocked. Users aged 13–17 are marked as minors, use private profile visibility by default, and are not opted into targeted advertising.
Hypnix does not claim verified parental consent unless a separate verified consent workflow is implemented and documented.
